WELCOME TO THIS PAGE INTENDED FOR STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WESTERN CAPE REGISTERED IN 2010 FOR THE MODULE:
CAPE STREET VENDORS
Which quantitative skills do the three chosen Cape street musicians in their activity as street vendors employ?
Would any support and development of their previously acquired basic quantitative skills improve their profits?
In which other ways could these three street vendors hope to improve their ‘profits’?
Can they use their musical and performance skills in singing, dancing, acting and general musicianship to their and others’ economic advantage? And if so, how could they improve these skills to their (further) economic advantage?
In which way could the ‘economics activities’ associated with the Cape Malay Choirs, Christmas Bands, and others local music organizations be adapted to suit the case of these street vendors?
